I.R.I.S. started in 1987 as a university spin-off focusing on optical character recognition. Today, I.R.I.S. is a worldwide leader in intelligent document recognition, and a leading integrator in Europe for document, content and process management, as well as for delivering optimized IT infrastructure. We supply our products to almost 40 million individual users worldwide, and we directly serve over 1,100 corporate accounts in Europe. Over 500 specialized professionals are spread over nine sites in seven countries: Louvain-la-Neuve, Vilvoorde and Braschaat (Belgium), Amstelveen and Maastricht (Netherlands), Aachen (Germany), Windhof (Luxembourg), Orly (France), Oslo (Norway), Delray Beach (United States) and Hong Kong (China). 2008 set new records:
